My series of twelve large landscape paintings (Ode to Joy #11 is eight feet long) tell the story of the connection I formed with the landscape when I lived in California, which, ultimately, became a connection to my self and the realisation that everything I needed existed just outside my back door in the garden.

The paintings are all oil pastel, each one took approximately a month to complete, and my fingers touched and smoothed every inch of canvas.

Please look at the next two posts to view all 12 images – it seems I am limited as to how many images I can upload at one time!
